The Ricercare duo, made up of Marisa Gómez and Ignacio Gea, specializes in early music with original instruments: lutes, Renaissance guitar and Renaissance vihuela.

Musically trained at the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory in Valencia, the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, the Carlos Morel Higher School of Fine Arts in Quilmes and the National University of La Plata in Argentina, they have received also classes and advice from great personalities in the world of early music interpretation, such as José Miguel Moreno, Hopkinson Smith, Konrad Junghänel and Mario Videla.

They have offered recitals in countries such as China, Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Italy, Germany and Portugal. In Spain they have also been invited to participate in numerous festivals and concert series sponsored by institutions such as the Ministry of Culture of Spain, the Community of Madrid, the Generalitat Valenciana, the Provincial Council of Palencia, the Provincial Council of Toledo, the Junta de Castilla and León, Caja Castilla la Mancha, Spanish Guitar Society, the Consell Generau d'Arán, Ibercaja, Valencian Center for Mediterranean Culture, and town councils throughout the country, always achieving an excellent response from the public.

Its members have been awarded in numerous international competitions. His interpretations have been captured in a dozen albums and in recordings for radio and television: Radio Nacional de Argentina, Telemadrid, Japanese State Television, Spanish Radio Television. His interpretations have also been part of important events, such as the "Interweaving Performance Cultures" lecture series, organized by the University of Berlin, or the presentation in the Vatican of the collection of sculptures of Pope Francis I made by the famous sculptor Mik Simcic.
